BARNSTABLE – Bicyclists and public transit riders may want to stop by the Cape Cod Commission building in Barnstable Wednesday.
A Commuter Rally will take place at noon, sponsored by the Cape Cod Commission, Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and other programs.
The event will provide information on Cape bike routes, how to bring bikes on transit authority buses, bike safety tips and related giveaways.
Cape Cod Commission Technical Services Director Glenn Cannon said this cooperative event is one of many efforts to improve alternative transportation in the region.
“Cape Cod is a biking destination for people across the country,” Cannon said. “We want to make sure we highlight how people can get around on Cape Cod on their bicycles and on their transit routes.”
The event will take place from noon until 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the Barnstable County Complex off Route 6A in Barnstable Village.
