Computer Processing Unit Replacement Causes Steamship Authority Cancelations

HYANNIS – Steamship Authority issues continued this morning as trips were canceled between Nantucket and Hyannis.

The M/V Iyanough’s 9:30 trip to Hyannis and 11 a.m. return trip to Nantucket were canceled after a maintenance check discovered that computer processing units inside the vessel’s radar units needed to be replaced.

The Iyanough has resumed its schedule this afternoon.

The ferry service has had hundreds of cancelations this year due to mechanical issues.
