OAK BLUFFS – Selectmen in Oak Bluffs this week approved the contractor for the project to build the town’s new fire station.
J.K. Scanlan of East Falmouth will build the facility, after their bid came in just under $6,500,000. Voters at town elections in April approved just over 8 million dollars for the project.
The Vineyard Times says the project is expected to take about 10 months, with construction slated to begin in November.
The new twenty thousand square foot facility replaces the current eight thousand square foot building.
