Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Launches ‘Tech Ambassador’ Program

HYANNIS – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod has launched a new program to help customers navigate online and mobile banking technologies.

“Tech Ambassadors” will be available at each branch to help customers with online and mobile banking.

Customers can bring laptops, smartphones or tablets into a branch for assistance with setting up online banking, resetting passwords, paying bills online, depositing checks with a smartphone or using the COOP’s app.

All branches are equipped with Wi-Fi, which allows customers to bring in all devices.

The COOP has also installed computer stations and iPads in all branch lobbies for use by customers.

“We understand that technology moves at a lightning pace and it can be frustrating trying to keep up,” said Lisa Oliver, President and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.

“We wanted to provide more than just phone support. We wanted to provide personal, hands-on help from real people. Online and mobile banking has tremendous benefits, but getting started or troubleshooting problems can be a challenge.  Our customers can rely on us to help them bank online wherever and whenever they like.”

The initial ambassador team includes nine employees, but an expansion of the program is planned.

Device Advice sessions with the Tech Ambassadors will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. November 19 and 20 at all nine branches.

Customers are welcome to bring in their device and ambassadors will help troubleshoot, download the COOP app, and check out online and mobile banking and more. No appointment is needed.
