HYANNIS – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod has welcomed a new Chief Commercial Banking Officer.

Peter Rice of Brewster brings over 30 years of experience in commercial banking to the organization.

Rice previously held the position of Senior Vice President/Regional Vice President at TD Bank.

“Peter is active in the community and has a long track record of success,” said Lisa Oliver, the president and CEO of the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.

“I’m excited to welcome Peter as the new leader for our commercial team. He’ll be a great asset as we continue to expand the services we provide to our business customers to meet their challenging needs.”

Rice currently serves on the Board of Directors of Coastal Community Capital and Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. He is also on the Community Development Partnership Advisory Council and the NAMI Finance Committee, along with serving as a volunteer Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod.

“It’s important to The Coop that we’re not only bringing in top talent, but also people who are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work,” Oliver said. “And Peter fits the bill perfectly.”

The Hyannis-headquartered organization, which was established in 1921, is an independent, local, mutual community bank with over $850 million in assets.
