Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Donates Money to Community Development Partnership

EASTHAM – The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod has announced a donation aimed at supporting local businesses.

The bank will provide the Community Development Partnership with $7,500 for their Business and Credit Program. The initiative supports technical assistance and training and mentorship opportunities for participating businesses.

The sponsorship will specifically support the CDP’s fall workshop series, including one called “Marketing Your Business,” which focuses on retaining customers and attracting new ones.

“As a local, community bank, supporting our business owners is so important to us,” said Sheryl Walsh, the Senior Vice President and Chief Consumer and Small Business Banking Officer. “We are happy to partner with the Community Development Partnership to offer this series of workshops that will help our small businesses expand and grow. Providing education to businesses in need is part of what community banking is all about. Whether it’s through lending support, or sponsoring a series like Marketing Your Business, we offer the resources Cape Cod businesses need.”

Other workshops that will be supported by the donation include “Cape and Islands Green,” an effort to implement more eco-friendly business practices on the Cape, and “Connect and Grow,” a peer-mentorship workshop.

The Community Development Partnership also offers a series of technical assistance programs for local businesses.
