COTUIT – The Bruce Marshall Group returns to Cotuit Center for the Arts on January 21, at 7:30 PM.
Special guests Britt Connors and Bourbon Renewal will open the show.
The Bruce Marshall Group brings an exciting mix of original material rooted in the blues, R&B, country blues, and Southern boogie.
Marshall formed the band in 1991; they released their first CD the following year, and followed that up with three additional albums, including “Misspent Youth” in 2010.
Marshall has shared the stage with over 250 national acts.
He was on the road for most of the 1980s with Bruce Marshall and the Clue, a popular Boston.
In 1989, he joined forces with Toy Caldwell of the Marshall Tucker Band, and they toured the US in support of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, and the Outlaws.
In the 1990s, Marshall formed a duo with his old friend and bluesman James Montgomery and they have performed together for over 20 years, including a very well-received concert at Cotuit Center for the Arts.
Rising star Britt Connors and her band, Bourbon Renewal, blends blues, folk, country, and jazz, creating a sub-category of Americana they call “y’all-ternative” music.
Tickets are $28, $26 for seniors and veterans, and $23 for members.
