Cotuit Center for the Arts to Host Provincetown Jazz Festival Performance

COTUIT – Great jazz music will be coming to Cape Cod next month with the 14th Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival.

The festival will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 7 p.m. at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown and on Monday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cotuit Center for the Arts.

The Tim Ray Trio and Daryl Sherman will be featured at the Cotuit performance.

Tim Ray is best known as the long time pianist for Lyle Lovett and has appeared on over 75 recordings.

Other members of the trio are John Lockwood on bass and Mark Walker on drums.

Singer and pianist Daryl Sherman will open the show. She regularly tours the UK and has been performing concerts and master classes in Japan, Berlin and Holland.

Sherman will be accompanied by Cape Cod jazz musicians Bruce Abbott on saxophone, Ron Ormsby on bass and Bart Weisman on drums.

Tickets for the Cotuit show are $30 and can be purchased at artsonthecape.org.
