COTUIT – An opening night reception for three new exhibits at Cotuit Center for the Arts will be held in early March.

The free reception is Saturday, March 2 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The show includes the first ever presentation on Cape Cod of a controversial satirical exhibit.

Falmouth artist Salley Mavor presents a satirical look at the Trump Administration with her exhibit “Liberty and Justice.”

The exhibit is a provocative look at today’s political environment through her signature medium, small hand-stitched dolls. It also includes some of Mavor’s original embroidered children’s book illustrations.

“Reinventing the Real” features the works of contemporary artist Georganna Lenssen.

Whether painting still life objects in her studio, or capturing nature’s beauty en plein air, she displays an energetic interpretation of the world around her.

The final exhibit is “Serious Fun”.

This juried exhibit will showcase pieces with a playful aspect, either through subject matter or materials and techniques.

Gallery-ready submissions may be dropped off on Monday, February 25.
