Cotuit Center for the Arts to Host Sober Social Event

COTUIT – The Cotuit Center for the Arts is hosting an event later this month for anyone interested in alcohol-free socializing and entertainment.

The Sober Social coffee house is on Friday, February 23 from 7 to 9 p.m.

All are welcome to attend the free event, which features refreshments, socializing, entertainment and more.

The Cultural Center of Cape Cod, in a collaboration with Stella Wolf, launched the first Sober Social in January of 2017 to provide an alternative to the bar scene for those in recovery from addiction.

This year, the Cultural Center has partnered with the Cotuit Center for the Arts, Wellfleet Preservation Hall, and the Cape Conservatory in Falmouth to extend the reach of the program and provide more options for alcohol-free nightlife.

The first of the two Sober Socials to be held at Cotuit Center for the Arts this year will feature an open mic focused on the theme “A Moment,” which coincides with the current gallery exhibit of the same name.

“A Moment” is one of four exhibits running from February 17 through March 17.

Sober Socials are held monthly throughout the year.
