Couple Survive Plane Crash At Falmouth Airport

fire department patchFALMOUTH- A single-engine air plane crashed at Falmouth Airport yesterday morning around 10 a.m. after the pilot overshot the runway.

The only passengers, a husband and wife, were uninjured and were out of the plane and walking around when emergency crews arrived and declined medical treatment.

Initial reports said that the plane was on its roof but Falmouth Fire officials say that wasn’t the case.

The aircraft sustained only minor damage in the incident.

Falmouth Fire officials say they aren’t sure if the crash happened when the pilot attempt to take off or land.
