Cumberland Farms Closed for Suspicious Package Investigation

WEST YARMOUTH – Massachusetts State Police along with Yarmouth Police and Fire crews were called to Cumberland Farms on Route 28 yesterday after reports of a suspicious package at the location.

After arriving around 1 p.m. Police closed the store and cleared the area of people until the State Police Bomb Squad arrived on scene.

After finding the bag outside the store and looking at the contents, the area was cleared a couple hours later when police determined it was not explosive or dangerous.
