YARMOUTH – A public meeting will be held Wednesday night in Yarmouth as the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District examines the future of the Mattakeese Middle School and the Wixon School.
The district was recently accepted by the Massachusetts School Building Authority to look at the possibility of renovating the schools or building new ones.
The focus at this point is on Mattakeese, but officials might also look to address the Wixon School at some point.
The Massachusetts School Building Authority helps fund capital school projects across the state.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the D-Y High School library. Another session is planned for November 15.
