Deadline Approaching for Hyannis Survey

HYANNIS – Time is running out if you want to share your thoughts on downtown Hyannis.

As part of the 10-year re-authorization of the Downtown Hyannis Growth Incentive Zone, the Cape Cod Commission and Town of Barnstable have launched an online survey regarding the state of Hyannis.

The Growth Incentive Zone is a Cape Cod Commission designation that provides broad regulatory relief for development and redevelopment without the need for Commission review.

The survey takes just a few minutes to complete, and seeks to gather opinions on Hyannis’ sense of community, use of open spaces, shopping along Main Street and Route 132, and is open to anyone who lives, shops, owns a business or visits Hyannis.

“We want to hear from the community,” said Kristy Senatori, Deputy Director of the Cape Cod Commission. “We want to understand how people use Hyannis, and then also what they see as some of the issues and opportunities.”

The survey can be accessed by clicking here, and will be open through December 31.

In addition, focus group meetings with business owners and employees, property owners, and residents in and around Hyannis will be held during the winter.
