BREWSTER – One of the Democrats looking to unseat incumbent Brewster Republican State Rep. Tim Whelan has gained the support of a local grassroots organizing group.
Steven Leibowitz has been endorsed by Progressive Massachusetts, who cited his ability to understand activism, organizing, and how to make positive changes in the community.
Leibowitz was also endorsed by the Massachusetts Democratic Party last month.
He is running against fellow Democrat Joshua Mason in the September primary. The winner will face Whelan, who is seeking a third term in office in November.
