Dennis Fire Union Backs Schiavi For State Senate

SchiaviDENNIS – A Cape Cod fire union is throwing its support behind a candidate for Cape and Islands State Senate.

Local 2583 of the Dennis Fire Department has endorsed Republican Tony Schiavi for the seat, currently held by the retiring Dan Wolf (D-Harwich)

“I am honored by the confidence and support from the members of Local 2583” said Schiavi. “Having the support from our first responders, such as Local 2583, has significant meaning to me as a former military leader, Town Manager and Police Commissioner, but also because members of my family have been and are currently part of the fire service in Massachusetts”.

Schiavi is one of two Republicans seeking his party’s nomination, along with Barnstable Town Councilor Jim Crocker.

County Commissioner Sheila Lyons, business owner Julian Cyr, and 2nd Barnstable State Reprensentative Brian Mannal are running for the Democrats.

Schiavi is the former Brigadier General in charge of Joint Base Cape Cod.

  1. How?, Why? Obviously they don’t know who this guy is and what he’s about. Cheated on his first two wives, lied about his dealings in ashland, left ashland one of the most disrespected town leaders. A liar, womanizer, adulterer, liar does not deserve any vote.
