DENNIS – The Dennis Beach Management Advisory Task Force is seeking public input on proposals to protect Dr. Bottero Road from ongoing erosion.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, November 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Stone Hearing Room at Dennis Town Hall.

Winter storms cause severe erosion to the road each year and the town is looking for ways to protect it and preserve access to Chapin Beach.

Earlier this year the town received a Coastal Zone Management Green Infrastructure for Coastal Resilience Grant to identify and evaluate alternatives to mitigate Dr. Bottero Road erosion.

The task force is expected to make a final design recommendation to the Board of Selectmen by November 24, 2016.

The committee has met several times to discuss possible solutions and is encouraging the public to participate at the November 8 outreach session.
