Dennis Town Hall Displays Residents’ Artwork

KA_Dennis_Town hall Police30_11713DENNIS – Dennis Town Hall is hosting a new rotating art exhibit that displays the work of the town’s artists.

The town’s history will also be on display and the project is seeking work from artists of all ages.

“We have a new town hall and our Town Administrator wants all brand-new art, new artists and stuff that has never been hung before,” said Dennis Historical Commission member Phyllis Horton.

Art that won’t be accepted is pottery or anything that can’t be hung.

One of the pieces that is displayed at town hall is the weights and measures system from the Jericho Barn in South Dennis, which serves as a reminder of the town’s past.

“We just want people to feel comfortable to come in and see what their neighbors are doing art-wise,” said Horton.
