Deputy Sheriff’s Association Hosting Annual Meeting/Fundraiser

HYANNIS – The Barnstable County Deputy Sheriff’s Association will be hosting their Annual Business Meeting, Awards and Raffle Dinner this Friday.

The event will take at the Resort and Conference Center, featuring the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Judge Michael Creedon. The Lyndon Paul Lorusso Foundation is set to receive the Community Organization Impact Award and Cat Wilson will be recognized as the Community Volunteer of the Year.

The event also serves as a fundraiser for the organization allowing the department to offer programming beyond the confines of the budget.

“The money that we raise in this event here helps us fund those programs that we otherwise couldn’t fund through our regular operating line item,” Said Barnstable County Special Sheriff Jeff Perry,

“So having that extra funding available for those special things that we’d like to do just allows us to do more and more and more.”

The evening will begin at 5:30pm with a cocktail hour, followed a dinner buffet.  There will be a short business meeting and presentation of the Annual Awards.

The evening will end with our 17th Annual “Reverse Raffle” with prizes from $100 – $5,000, plus plenty of exciting non-cash prize giveaways!

For ticket information, e-mail Jeff Perry at [email protected].
