Digital Bookmobile to Make Pit Stop in Sandwich as Part of National Tour

SANDWICH – The Digital Bookmobile is coming to the Sandwich Free Public Library.

The unique traveling exhibit creates an interactive experience for readers of all ages to learn about ebooks and audiobooks available in libraries across Massachusetts.

Equipped with interactive workstations, touchscreen activities, and title sampling devices, the Bookmobile has everything needed to browse for digital reading content. Library staff and eReading experts will also be available to assist visitors with the digital process.

The Bookmobile has welcomed over 200,000 visitors at 900 events across the country since it first launched in 2008. The 42-foot long Toterhome has traveled over 200,000 miles in that timeframe to provide internet connectivity, devices, and expert guidance to the digital collections of ebooks and audiobooks of local libraries.

Catch the Bookmobile tour on September 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sandwich Free Public Library.
