The second annual “Dancing with the Docs” gala will take place today at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster. Eight local physicians and providers are already practicing with their professional partners.
Like the first one, the gala is a benefit for Cape Wellness Collaborative, a non-profit which provides free integrative therapies to people with cancer.
Members of the public will be able to vote for their favorite dancer online or by text, while a panel of judges at the black tie event, will evaluate their technique and style.
Michael Lauf, president and CEO of Cape Cod Healthcare which is co-sponsoring the event, said cancer is a difficult and complex disease, and treating it successfully often requires a variety of methods.
The event will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and tickets can be purchased at www.dwtdcapecod.com.
