Dolphin Stranded in Brewster Dies

BREWSTER –  A dolphin that was found stranded in Brewster Monday died before rescuers were able to release the animal back into the ocean.

The dolphin was spotted between Point of Rocks and Breakwater beaches, according to Brewster Department of Natural Resources Director Chris Miller.

A crew from the International Fund for Animal Welfare responded to the scene and removed the animal.

The male common dolphin died before it could be released in deeper water.
