Draft Released of Harwich Hazard Mitigation Plan

HARWICH – The Cape Cod Commission and the Town of Harwich have updated the hazard mitigation plan for the town, a step that makes Harwich eligible for state and federal pre and post-disaster funding.

Public comment is now open on the draft, which examines vulnerabilities in the town and details actions officials can take to protect residents and facilities from natural hazards.

You can view the draft plan at the Town of Harwich’s website.

The draft plan will be submitted to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency after it is approved by the Harwich Board of Selectmen.
