HYANNIS – A $100,000 state grant is coming to Cape Cod to help combat the opioid addiction crisis.
The Duffy Health Center is receiving the funding, which will be used to help local youth and young adults who are having trouble with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
“As we continue to combat this opioid crisis, we need to use every tool available to us to ensure that our most vulnerable – youth and young adults included – get the intervention, treatment, and recovery services they need,” said Marylou Sudders, the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
The Duffy Health Center is one of four organizations in the state receiving money for similar programs. In total, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services and the Department of Public Health is granting over $466,000.
