DUI Patrols to Increase in Dennis

DENNIS – Dennis police will be beefing up their impaired driver patrols during the holiday season thanks to a grant from the State’s Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

Dennis police are taking part along with other departments across the Commonwealth in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign.

“Drivers impaired by any drug, including marijuana or alcohol, are a major threat to the safety of our roads,” said Chief Peter DiMatteo of the Dennis Police Department.

“Our officers will be stopping any motorist who is exhibiting signs of impairment or driving in a dangerous manner.”

The program also includes an educational component and public information campaign.
