Local Towns Receive Money for Maritime Economy Projects

HYANNIS – The state is providing $1.5 million to different communities in Massachusetts in an effort to bolster the local maritime economy.

Eastham, Orleans, and Wareham are included in the grant.

Eastham and Orleans are receiving money for the revitalization of Rock Harbor.

Eastham will get $150,000 for the construction of a new harbormaster building, and Orleans will get $147,200 for upgrades to the commercial wharf’s infrastructure.

Wareham was awarded $200,000 to support the rehabilitation of the Onset Bathhouse. The town also received $350,000 in 2018 for this project.
