Eastham Unveils New Town Web Site

EASTHAM  –  A new website and Facebook page have been unveiled for the Town of Eastham. 

Town Planner Paul Lagg told the Board of Selectmen that not everything has changed. 

“We still are using the same software web site company, but this is their new modern user friendly interface. The whole goal here was to upgrade the look and make everything a little more intuitive and easier to find,” he said. 

Features of the site include payments, comments and questions, minutes, agendas, and public documents. 

Town officials said the Facebook page is the result of social media becoming an important tool for community relations. 

According to Lagg, the updating will be spread out. 

“One of the goals was to start to have the departments take more ownership of their pages and the associated board and committee pages, so we can really keep this web site accurate, up to date, and make it the go to source,” he said.

Users will also find meeting schedules and upcoming events.  The site can be accessed at eastham-ma.gov.
