Eclipse Watch: Several Cape Cod Locations to Provide Viewing Opportunities

SANDWICH – Several organizations are holding eclipse watching gatherings today across Cape Cod.

Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich will present a talk from an astronomy expert and have moon and sun themed music and food.

In Chatham, the Marconi Maritime Center will host a presentation on the eclipse with Larry Bookhart, director of the Harwich Observatory.

They will also provide viewing through specialized equipment.

The Cape Cod National Seashore is hosting a viewing event at the Salt Pond Visitors Center with rangers who will discuss the eclipse.

Certified viewing glasses and pinhole projectors will be available.

Other viewing events will take place at the Werner-Schmidt Observatory at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, the Maria Mitchell Association on Nantucket and the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster.
