BARNSTABLE – Electric customers on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and the South Shore should be getting some relief for their wallets.
Eversource customers will see a 33 percent decrease in their supply rate compared to this winter, with new pricing going into effect today. The new rates remain in effect until the end of the year.
The resident electricity supply price will see a drop from 15 cents per kilowatt-hour to 10 cents per kilowatt-hour.
The average home on the Cape, South Shore, and South Coast should see their bill drop from $124 to $99, according to company officials. Residents in Greater Boston and Metro West should see their bill from $122 to $97.
