BOURNE – The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce and the Bourne Substance-Free Coalition are teaming up for a drug forum aimed at employers on Thursday.
The ‘Opioids and Our Workforce Business Forum’ will take place at Upper Cape Regional Technical High School beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Experts will discuss legal responsibilities in dealing with substance use in the workplace.
Among the presenters is Kim Slade with the Barnstable County Department of Human Services and Regional Substance Abuse Council.
She’ll talk about how the county has partnered with schools and communities to implement evidence-based practices in stemming the drug crisis.
An attorney who specializes in employee and employer rights will also be on the panel.
