EPA Funding Study for Water Quality

 

WAREHAM – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator Alexandra Dunn will be on Cape Cod Tuesday, August 14,th to announce funding supporting water quality in the Commonwealth’s coastal waters.

Under the Beaches Environmental Assessment and Coastal Health Act, EPA awards grants to eligible state, territorial and tribal applicants to help them and their local government partners monitor water quality in coastal areas.

Joining Administrator Dunn will be U.S. Congressman Bill Keating, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Deputy Commissioner Gary Moran, Wareham Town Administrator derrick Sullivan and Wareham Board of Selectmen Chair Alan Slavin.

The event will take place Tuesday at the Gazebo at Onset Beach in East Wareham at 1:00.
