SOUTH YARMOUTH – A new club rejuvenated from the oldest horse riding club on Cape Cod will hold its inaugural open house next month.

The Cape Community Equestrian Association invites the public to attend the event on Sunday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9 Rough Riders Path in South Yarmouth.

Attendees can enjoy exhibitions featuring 4H livestock displays, interactive booths and equestrian demonstrations.

The open house includes activities for kids like face painting, pony rides, touch a tractor and pumpkin decorating.

A fashion show, drill team and riding clinics round out the afternoon.

The association will also be accepting new members.

The Cape Community Equestrian Association is a community focused club that encourages and promotes equine and agricultural affairs and family farming.

The group focuses on education and hopes to develop a sense of cooperation, accomplishment and sportsmanship through competitive activities, exhibitions, parades, trail rides and recreational activities.
