DENNIS – Eventide Theatre Company is partnering with the New England Gilbert and Sullivan Society for a concert featuring professional singers from the New York, Boston and Cape Cod opera scene.
H.M.S. Pinafore will be held Saturday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Dennis Union Church.
The unique experience is being billed as a “sing-out”. Fans of the show who are familiar with the score are encouraged to participate as part of the chorus.
H.M.S. Pinafore, or The Lass That Loved A Sailor opened in London in 1878 and ran for 571 performances.
The story focuses on a love story between a sailor and a lady of breeding and includes many twists and turns and unexpected reveals along the way.
Tickets are $20 and are available at eventidearts.org or at the door.
