Eversource: All Power Should Be Restored By 11 p.m. Friday

BARNSTABLE – Crews have made significant progress in restoring power to those still affected by the storm.

Only about 370 outages remain on Cape Cod today, down from about 24,000 Thursday. More than 128,000 customers were without power at the height of the storm.

Eversource reports they hope to have all service restored by 11 p.m. Friday.

“We recognize how disruptive power outages are to our customers’ lives and we greatly appreciate their patience this week as we rebuild and repair the electric system again,” said Eversource Vice President of Electric Field Operations Doug Foley.

“Our crews are doing a tremendous job, working extended shifts around-the-clock since this relentless cycle of winter weather first began on March 2.  Many of the men and women working on this restoration lost power at their own homes but they are committed to working until every last customer is restored.”

The company reminds residents to stay away from any downed power lines and to use caution when moving tree limbs and to look for wires that may be wrapped up in debris.
