HYANNIS – Eversource is reminding residents and contractors to call 811 prior to any digging project, in order to have underground lines properly marked.
Calling 811 connects callers with Dig Safe, who in turn tells local utilities about upcoming projects that involve digging.
Per the law, Dig Safe should be notified at least three full business days in advance of digging.
