Exit 6 1/2 Cafe Providing Food and Drink to Highway Motorists

YARMOUTH  The Exit 6 1/2 Cafe is currently in the midst of its inaugural season of operation.

Located at the Cape Cod Visitor Center between exits 6 and 7 on Route 6, the food truck has been open for tourists and locals alike since Memorial Day weekend.

“When travelers stop in, they come into our visitor center, they get all the information they need. And then as they’re stretching their legs, they can put something in their bellies and have really good food and conversation with people that are running the 6 1/2 Cafe,” Executive Director of the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce Mary Vilbon said.

The Exit 6 1/2 Cafe will be at the Cape Cod Visitor Center until Columbus Day weekend, but Vilbon said a plan is in place to bring it back on Memorial Day weekend next year.

“It’s providing a service that’s needed to our guests and visitors,” Vilbon continued.

“We all promote coming to Cape Cod, we need to provide the amenities that they expect when they get here.”
