BOURNE – Two F-15 eagles will be arriving at Otis Air National Guard Base today.

The fighter jets are assigned to the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield. It’s not yet known how long they will be based on Cape Cod.

Officials with the 102nd Intelligence Wing say flying activity around the base will increase and local residents can expect to hear the F-15s as they make their descent.

Air Force One is expected to land at Joint Base Cape Cod over the weekend as President Obama and family began their annual vacation on Martha’s Vineyard.

The fighter jets were previously stationed on the Cape until they were re-assigned to Barnes a few years ago.
