Falmouth, Chatham Candidates Forums Set for Today

FALMOUTH – Voters in two Cape Cod towns can learn more about their candidates for town offices Wednesday at two forums.

The Chatham Alliance for Preservation and Conservation is organizing a candidates’ forum at 3 p.m. at the Eldredge Public Library.

Incumbent Selectmen Cory Metters and Dean Nicastro are facing a challenge from former Selectman Seth Taylor for two full-term seats on the Board. Jamie Bassett and Peter Cocolis are running for a one-year seat.

In Falmouth, the League of Women Voters and Falmouth Community Television are holding a candidates forum at 7 p.m. at the Falmouth Public Library.

Marc Finneran and Alexander Gessen are challenging incumbent Doug Jones for a seat on the Board of Selectmen.

Kelly Welch, John Furnari, James Newman, and Natalie Kanellopoulos are running for three available seats on the Falmouth School Committee.

The race for two seats on the Falmouth Planning Board include three candidates: Michael Heylin and incumbents Robert Leary and Charlotte Harris.

There are four candidates seeking three seats on the Falmouth Board of Library Trustees: Kathleen Murray, Michael Corgan, Kathie Mount, and Margaret Finnell.
