Falmouth Fall Town Meeting to Feature Wind Turbines Article

FALMOUTH – Three dozen articles will be taken up at the Fall Town Meeting in Falmouth Tuesday night.

Town meeting members will consider a request to fund the dismantling of the controversial wind turbines at the wastewater treatment plant.

There are several capital projects, including $2.3 million to tackle climate erosion at Menauhant Beach and Chapoquoit Road, and a $2 million price tag for painting the technology park water tank.

Other articles including purchasing a property to be used for public parking in Falmouth Center and funding maintenance and staff at the new senior center, which will be opening soon.

There are also several citizen’s petition articles, including one that would ban town departments from purchasing beverages in single-use plastic bottles or the sale of beverages in plastic bottles on town property.

Town meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence School.
