Falmouth Fund Announces $100,000 Gift from the Willett Foundation

FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation has received a $100,000 gift from the Willett Foundation Fund.

“We are most grateful for the long-standing support of the Willett Foundation Fund and its shared commitment to address pressing needs and create opportunities within the Falmouth community,” said Sharon Nunes, Chair of The Falmouth Fund.

Nunes said that $50,000 will directly support grants to local organizations in The Falmouth Fund’s 10 th anniversary year of 2019 and that the additional $50,000 will establish the Willett Foundation Fund Challenge. Nunes said the dollar-for-dollar matching challenge, which began June 1, is intended to encourage donors to invest in our residents and community.

The matching gift is designed to support The Falmouth Fund’s goal to build a sustainable, permanent endowment that makes a difference in people’s lives today and supports future generations of Falmouth residents, according to Nunes.

“The Willett Foundation Fund and The Falmouth Fund have a shared commitment to Falmouth that is truly inspiring,” said Kristin O’Malley, Cape Cod Foundation President and CEO.

“We are honored to partner with them to support important and impactful projects in education, health and human services, arts and culture, and the environment across the Falmouth community.”
