FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Housing Corporation is sponsoring an inaugural bike ride in Falmouth in honor of two men who devoted their lives to helping people down on their luck.
The Kirwin/Murray Memorial Bike Ride will take place on Sunday, October 22 at 8 a.m.
The planned route is along the Falmouth Marathon route for about 29 miles.
There will be shorter routes to accommodate younger or more relaxed riders for about 10 miles.
Peter Kirwin started Falmouth Human Services, which helps hundreds of residents every year.
Bob Murray ran the Falmouth Housing Authority and was known for his innovative efforts to create affordable housing, one of which was starting the Falmouth Housing Corporation.
