FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Museums on the Green will host two day-trips next month to historical Massachusetts locations.
The first stop is to America’s Home Town of Plymouth on Friday, May 3.
Guests will tour Plimouth Plantation – a recreation of a 17th Century farming and maritime community. The visit will include a turkey luncheon.
Attendees will also visit the Pilgrim Hall Museum to view its newest exhibit, “pathFounders: Women of Plymouth.”
The cost for the trip is $95 per person.
The Museum’s bus will head to Lexington on Thursday, May 23.
Stops during the trip include the Hancock-Clarke House, where John Hancock and Samuel Adams woke to Paul Revere’s warning about the British in April of 1775, and the famous Battle Green where the first shot of the Revolutionary War was heard ‘round the world.
Guests will also visit the Buckman Tavern, which was a militia headquarters, the Munroe Tavern, which was turned into a field hospital by the British, and the Museum of National Heritage.
The cost for this trip is $75 and does not include a lunch.
