Falmouth Officials Consider 2020 Budget Policy

FALMOUTH – Officials in Falmouth touted their recently secured triple-A bond rating at a selectmen’s meeting earlier this month.

The assessment comes courtesy of rating agency Standard and Poor’s and came up as the town’s Director of Finance Jennifer Petit presented selectmen with Falmouth’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget policy.

The policy is focused on maintaining the town’s enviable economic position which will allow them to secure municipal financing at lower rates.

“It’s not just about having that fiscal health,” said Selectman Megan English Braga, “They want to see what that does for folks.”
