FALMOUTH – A Falmouth resident who authored the first impeachment resolution against President Richard Nixon will speak at a community forum in town next month.
Donald Terry worked in Washington for 40 years and was the staff director for three congressional committees.
He wrote the Nixon impeachment resolution after the “Saturday Night Massacre” and participated in the Congressional hearings on Watergate shortly before Nixon resigned.
Terry will discuss his time in Washington and will offer his thoughts on today’s political climate at the November 9 forum at the Gus Canty Community Center.
The event, titled “Politics in the Age of Trump” is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be moderated by Falmouth resident Troy Clarkson.
The event is free and open to the public.
