Falmouth Police Arrests Kayak Thief

FALMOUTH – Falmouth Police arrested an East Yarmouth man this afternoon for allegedly stealing a kayak this morning.Kayak

Jacob Ewald,19, was charged with Larceny over $250 and Receiving Stolen Property.

Police received a report of a stolen kayak from an East Falmouth resident at 8:15 a.m.

The owner called police later saying the kayak was located for sale on an online yard sale website.

Police arranged for the owner and an undercover officer to meet the seller at 85 Sam Turner Road in East Falmouth.

With the home under surveillance, the owner identified the kayak and officers arrested Ewald, who lives next door to the house where the purchase was taking place.
