Falmouth Police To Hold Tree Dedication Ceremony for Fallen Officer

Falmouth Police CrestFALMOUTH – Falmouth Police are hosting a tree dedication ceremony in honor of John Robert Kotfila, Jr. next week.

Kotfila, Jr. was a Hillsborough County Florida Deputy Sheriff who was killed in a traffic crash on March 12 in Tampa, Florida.

Kotfila, Jr. is also the son of John Kotfila, a Sergeant with the Massachusetts State Police and a former Falmouth Police officer.

His brother Michael is currently a police officer with Falmouth Police.

The ceremony, which will be held on June 23 at 9:30 a.m. will be held in front of the Falmouth Police Department.

The tree was donated by Dale Tree Service and a plaque that will accompany the tree was donated by Clover Monument.
