Falmouth Police To Host Memorial Service For Fallen Officers

KA_Falmouth_police sign 2_111215FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Police Department will honor all officers who have died in the line of duty with a ceremony this morning.

The event, in recognition of Police Officers Memorial Day, begins at 10 a.m. with a procession of uniformed officers and the laying of a memorial wreath. The Falmouth Police Honor Guard will lead the procession.

The public is invited to attend.

In particular, the ceremony will honor Falmouth Police Officer Samuel F. Pierce, who died in a motorcycle crash while on duty in 1933. Members of Pierce’s family will be in attendance.
