FALMOUTH – Falmouth State Rep. David Viera has proposed more funding for the Pocasset Mental Health Center after public outcry to possible closure.

His amendment in the state budget proposes $50,000 to convert office space into two more beds for the 16-bed total center.

It’s one of only two state-run facilities on Cape for in-patient mental health services.
