Falmouth School Committee to Pick New Superintendent

COURTESY OF FALMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS

FALMOUTH – The Falmouth School Committee is expected to make a decision on the district’s next superintendent at their meeting Tuesday night.

Last week, the board interviewed the three finalists for the job at a public meeting.

The candidates for the post are Lori Duerr, the assistant superintendent in New Castle, Delaware, Nadine Ekstrom, the former superintendent in the Berlin-Boylston school district, and Kerri Anne Quinlan-Zhou, an assistant superintendent at Dighton-Rehoboth.

In total, 28 people applied for the position.

Current superintendent Nancy Taylor has announced plans to retire at the end of the school year. She has held the job since 2015 and has worked in the Falmouth school system since 1993.

Tuesday’s meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at the School Administration building at 340 Teaticket Highway.
