Falmouth Seeks Permits to Widen Bournes Pond Inlet

FALMOUTH – The town of Falmouth is seeking a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers for projects to dredge, renourish a beach and reconstruct a jetty.

Work would include dredging 11,000 cubic yards of material to widen the Bournes Pond inlet with the sand being placed on Menauhant Beach.

The west jetty would also be reconstructed and extended by 25 feet, along with moving the east jetty further east.
